it wouldnt be so bad if they realized its just spring training but no there gonna shove it in our faces. what can u do?

Half of them probably didn't watch the game. They'll just see the final score and gloat away.

Can someone sum up what happened please? Because I was sitting at the golf course for a f***ing hour waiting for my damn mom to pick me up. I missed the whole game. All I know so far is that we lost.

DW pitched really well -- 2 ER's on 3 hits 2 or more K's -- 4 2-3IP

Vic Darensburg gave up the game -- in his 1-3 of an inning pitched --

Cotts looked good but took the loss on his only hit allowed -- He hat at least 4k's and no walks, though he did have one HBP, which turned unto the winning run after a steal and a WP...3 IP

Rowand, Gload and Sweeney all looked good...

Zambrano pitched 5 innings threw 80 pitches gave up 8 hits ...

TO OUT B TEAM

Yeah losing to the Cubs suck, but it will probably be an example of how "closely" Cubs fans watch the team. As people have said the Sox had their B team and Cubs had their A team and they couldn't tie it until Sox brought in a guy who won't make the major league roster.

With that said I thought the Sox looked decent today and I actually had a good feeling about them after the game. Konerko and Rowand hit the ball well. Wright made me nervous as usual (I agree with Farmer that unless he is consistent with a change-up he won't be an effective starter). Cotts pitched well.

I am getting a little nervous about Harris, I would like to see more out of him, but I love what his speed could bring to this team so I like the fact that they are giving him every chance to do well. Farmer and Rooney seem that they're not sold on Harris. They questioned his plate patience and they talked a little bit about how a 2nd basemen will probably be available near the end of spring training if the Sox were interested.

Haha, they pitched Zambrano that much? And I guess we didn't have many starters in from what I've read. Lol Baker is a dumbass.

Only Konerko, Rowand, Valentin, & Harris played. Olivo was a late scratch and Frank, Mags, Crede, & CLee didn't make the trip. Most of the foulups were by guys who won't be with the club on April 5. But Harris needs to work the count more. Even though I was highly critical of him the 1st ST game, Uribe has picked up the pace and putting bigtime pressure on Willie.

It is a disssapointment to lose to the Scrubs. I watched the game on WGN and here are my thoughts on the Sox:

Gload looked good. He handles the bat real well and hit that 2-run homer. he made the last out in the 9th with a runner on 2nd, but he hit the ball sharply and it was handled deep behind 1st base.

Danny Wright pitched pretty good baseball and outdueled Zambrano in my opinion. He have up the homer to Sosa, but he showed the ability to pitch his game when the Cubs had runners on 1st and 3rd with 1-out and Danny got the GIDP.

Cotts pitched real well and it was the HBP and poor defense by the catcher and an error on Uribe at 3rd that led to the Cubs winning run. Cotts inability to bunt was crucial in the Cubs keeping the Sox from scoring.

Valentin played good defense and hit well. Konerko also. Paulie did fail to get the runner in from third with less than 2-outs though when he popped one up on the right side.

Darensborg, who is a lefty came in to pitch to 2 lefty hitters and gave up hits to both. Didn't look good.

Harris was mixed. he didn't look good in his first three at bats and then he came through with a sharp single and a stolen base.

Rowand played good ball in CF and got a couple hits.

I missed seeing Brian Anderson bat. He was on-deck in the 9th when Gload was the final out.

I though the game was pretty decent from a Sox viewpoint even though we lost. See you on Sunday on WGN. It will be our guys announcing too.

Only player I know they said was hurt was Olivo...and it was only stomach cramps or something like that. No idea who said he didn't want to...or why they would say that.

Olivo has a kidney stone.....OUCH!!!!!!

Levine said it's gonna be a day or two for Miguel, until the stone makes its way out.....OOOOUUUUUCCCHHHHH!!!!!

Ouch. Squirm. I can't get the Seinfeld episode with Kramer passing the kidney stone out of my head now, making the circus tightrope walkers fall with the scream he lets out when the pass.
