They called the white Sox, so Cotts and Konerko knew about it, if it did get back to them. Not that it really matters.. but the players didn't know about it beforehand. Correction... they were told that something was up, but not given details. Also, it appears the Kelly comment was also an attempt at an AF's joke... After Hawk came on he was talking about how it sucked for Rowand because he was never going to get his chance in center field.
