April 5, 200421 yr Today after the loss the record for people on at one time was shot up more than 50, no wonder it was running soooo slow

April 5, 200421 yr Tremendous...of course it crashed the server, but that was awesome. This time the server will be ready...just had to break it in from all those new people
April 5, 200421 yr first time i missed being part of a record-moment in awhile , oh well, next time. Lets hope not. There would have to be another substantial collapse to replicate today's record number of members.

April 6, 200421 yr Tremendous...of course it crashed the server, but that was awesome. This time the server will be ready...just had to break it in from all those new people but you got the server back pretty fast... wsi's was also having a few problems whitesox.com didn't at all (so few posters)
April 6, 200421 yr I missed out on a record. Again. I'm glad I missed it to tell you the truth. same here
April 6, 200421 yr but you got the server back pretty fast... wsi's was also having a few problems whitesox.com didn't at all (so few posters) Ya, I forget all the aggrevation that the old server company gave. Every two to three months I talk to this company (and its only for a few minute outage which is what I like) and I also tell them how much I appreciate them. Its just a breath of fresh air to have a stable company (Knock on Wood, lol).
April 6, 200421 yr I was curious so I went back and did some research. In addition to breaking the most people on line record yesterday, opening day also registered the 2nd most posts ever in one day with 1974 posts. The record still stands at 2045 on July 2nd, 2003. The old 2nd place total was 1947 posts.

April 6, 200421 yr IIRC it was either the Alomar or Everett trades? I am not sure. I think BOTH - didn't they happen on the same day?
April 6, 200421 yr I think BOTH - didn't they happen on the same day? It was the day Jimenez was designated for reassignment and the day we got Alomar and Everett
April 6, 200421 yr IIRC it was either the Alomar or Everett trades? I am not sure. Both trades were announced at about 10 pm on July first... One during the sox game, and one about 30 minutes after.
