He said something along the lines that fans come up to him and tell him they know the game. He said he has been around MLB for 40 years and he doesn't even know the game. That is pretty much how I took it too. They were talking about how with almost 70 years of baseball experience between them, they are still seeing things that they have never seen before. Boers and Hawk go back to the early eighties. Hawk said soemthing along the lines of: "You didn't know anything about baseball back then, and you don't know anything about it now. Guys like you, Bernstein, and Mariotti don't know a damn thing about it." But Boers has been firing back with some major firepower. Hawk was even studdering.
