May 31, 200421 yr I am just wondering if anyone else is just amazed by our starters (sans #5) this year. Buehrle is our ace, Loaiza's pitching as well as he did at points last year, Garland has shown that he can shut them down, and Schoe has been flawless in his transition to starter.

The only guy I have been amazed with is, Schoenweis. The other 3 r doing what I about expected.

Hell if Cooper can transform Schoeneweis and Loaiza into solid starters I'm almost positive he can do it with Ortiz. If he comes cheaply I say go get him, they're not going to give up Washburn. June 1, 200421 yr Look guys i'm not saying that Ramon Ortiz is the second coming of Cy Young. I just think that he would be a cheap option that can be decent enough to be a solid 5th starter. In other words I don't want to give up a ton of prospects and I think that he's not going to cost us that much. I realize it's fun to think about getting an ace pitcher but the reality is that I don't think any of us are willing to pay the price to get one. Just get someone decent!

Mark Buehrle 3.30 Scott Schoeneweis 3.64 Esteban Loaiza 3.78 Jon Garland 3.79 WTG guys -- Keep it up. Also, JG has not given up an unearned run all year. That's f***ing pitchin' Could be that he has had great defense behind him, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
