Heads22
I am just wondering if anyone else is just amazed by our starters (sans #5) this year. Buehrle is our ace, Loaiza's pitching as well as he did at points last year, Garland has shown that he can shut them down, and Schoe has been flawless in his transition to starter. WHarris1
Yep, 1-4 have been outstanding. If only we could find a damn 5th.

SoxAce
And if we find the "5th" starter, he can take less pressure off the other 4 guys and eat up innings.
AngelasDaddy0427
We need to get Ramon Ortiz... We will be fine in the playoffs with just Burherle, Loazia, Show, and Garland... He will come cheap and he will get us enough wins to win the division.

Sure he’ll come cheap, but eliminating him before the playoffs is just bogus. A 4-man rotation won’t do us that good in the playoffs. By the way kid, learn how to spell. It’s Buehrle not Burherle. And Loaiza is not spelled Loazia.

Jarrod Washburn yeah, but not Ramon Ortiz...

CWSOX45
Ramon ortiz is a piece of s***. I'll take that piece of s*** if he's available. Better than what we've gotten so far with Wright/Diaz/Cotts/Rauch. CWSOX45

Hell if Cooper can transform Schoeneweis and Loaiza into solid starters I'm almost positive he can do it with Ortiz. If he comes cheaply I say go get him, they're not going to give up Washburn. AngelasDaddy0427
Look guys i'm not saying that Ramon Ortiz is the second coming of Cy Young. I just think that he would be a cheap option that can be decent enough to be a solid 5th starter. In other words I don't want to give up a ton of prospects and I think that he's not going to cost us that much. I realize it's fun to think about getting an ace pitcher but the reality is that I don't think any of us are willing to pay the price to get one. Just get someone decent! Gene Honda Civic
Just wanted to point this out. I don't think there's a staff in the AL with 4 guy under 4.00 ERA. Mark Buehrle 3.30 Scott Schoeneweis 3.64 Esteban Loaiza 3.78 Jon Garland 3.79 WTG guys -- Keep it up. Also, JG has not given up an unearned run all year. That's f***ing pitchin' Could be that he has had great defense behind him, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

We'd have 5 guys with an ERA under 4.00. You wanna talk about f***ing sick, holy s***
