June 19, 200421 yr If the Sox win this one, I propose that cwsox open game day threads for all "5th starter" games.
June 19, 200421 yr I have to work. So i'm gonna miss the game. Good luck to, Munoz. If we can't get a win from our 5th starter against the Expos then something is terribly wrong.
June 19, 200421 yr Author Good luck to Munoz. cubssuck tells us to be pumped up for Munoz and I am going with his confidence - today, victory!
June 19, 200421 yr If the Sox win this one, I propose that cwsox open game day threads for all "5th starter" games. yes, we need to get the proverbial monkey off of our back. So come on Munoz! btw, after yesterday, I am now 2-0 with game threads Its still too early to call me a stud or an ace though.
June 19, 200421 yr Whitesox.com has Munoz going up against Armas tonight. Armas: 0-2; 6.75 ERA; 13.1 IP; 13 K; 1.65 WHIP Control seems to be his achilles heel, throughout his career it has stopped him from becoming the ace that he was projected to be. Munoz (Birmingham): 6-2; 2.13 ERA; 67.2 IP; 59 K; .997 WHIP He's been filthy in birmingham.
June 19, 200421 yr A little more 5th starter love from the land of the rising sun. I've got a good feeling about this one.
June 19, 200421 yr I just hope that Ozzie has learned his lesson. Timo Perez should not be our lead off hitter. If he's going to insist on playing him at least put Uribe at lead off and AROW at #2 (Who always has exceled at that spot his entire career).

If he's going to insist on playing him at least put Uribe at lead off and AROW at #2 (Who always has exceled at that spot his entire career). A-Row's only had 17 AB's in the 2 hole; it's hard to use that as a CAREER stat. However, his numbers are pretty good in that spot. June 19, 200421 yr I am pumped to see Munoz pitch. I am hoping for atleast 5 good innings from him. I think that would be a very big step in the right direction. Hopefully Munoz won't be too nervous like most of the others that have been brought up. Good luck Arnie!!!!
June 19, 200421 yr Munoz (Birmingham): 6-2; 2.13 ERA; 67.2 IP; 59 K; .997 WHIP Holy s***! Those numbers are awesome! Please god, let them translate into successful MLB numbers!!!!!!
June 19, 200421 yr Holy s***! Those numbers are awesome! Please god, let them translate into successful MLB numbers!!!!!! Actually he is now 7-2 with a 2.05 ERA, but who's counting..... ;-) Some damn runs from the offense would be nice tonight. God forbid we actually give the 5th starter a lead to work with to ease the pressure.
June 19, 200421 yr Actually he is now 7-2 with a 2.05 ERA, but who's counting..... ;-) I am! Shoot, those numbers are great! Yes, it is AA, but still, let's see what the kid's got! Got Arnie and Go Sox!!!!!!!!
June 19, 200421 yr God damnit. I have to miss the start of the game because of a baseball game. Hah, don't get me started on missing Sox games because of baseball games. I have missed three in a row because of baseball, and am going to miss the next two as well. I'm also going to miss all of next weeks games except for maybe one or two. The Cubs series is included.
June 19, 200421 yr Game is on WGN tonight at 5:00 PM MDT. I'll be there in front of the tube. I am really looking forward to seeing Munoz.
