June 28, 200421 yr do we assume that since Davis has played with him before that he could call pitches better for him, or do we go with the sure thing and play Sandy?
June 28, 200421 yr If things stay the same, Sandy will be catching Mark on Tuesday and with a day of rest can catch Garcia on Thursday. I'm betting that will be the two starters Sandy catches for certain. Leaving Burke or Davis to handle E-Lo and Garland. If we carry three catchers maybe the odd man out catches the #5 (Rauch? Diaz?) I'll be shocked if Sandy doesn't catch Garcia and Mark the rest of the way.

June 28, 200421 yr So he's replacing Rauch in our rotation? Just a guess, but I would think Diaz would be the one losing his spot in the rotation. Any guesses at who stays in the rotation until Scho gets back?
June 28, 200421 yr I bet Rauch stays in the rotation until Schoeneweis returns, and Diaz goes to the bullpen, with Darensburg (sp?) going back down to Charlotte.
June 28, 200421 yr Yeah, that's what will probably happen. I was a bit more impressed with Diaz, though.

June 28, 200421 yr Okay... so if Rauch does stick in the SP position, than he’ll have to start against the Cubs. This is how I see it. Buehrle (Tuesday) Garcia (Wednesday) Garland (Thursday) Rauch or Diaz (Friday)
June 28, 200421 yr No problems there, that rotation gives us the best chance to win all the games against the Twins. Hopefully the bats come, too!

Buehrle (Tuesday) Garcia (Wednesday) Garland (Thursday) Rauch or Diaz (Friday) And I have no problem with that. The games vs the Twins are worth essentially two games in the standings. The games vs the Cubs are only worth one.

June 28, 200421 yr Hmmm ... I was kinda hoping Garcia would start against the Cubs. But, beating the Twins is FAR more important than beating the Cubs. Um, at least I think so. I can't believe how ironic all this is. We beat the Cubs, pull off a big trade, and now face the team we trail by one game. Wow. No one ever said being a Sox fan wasn't exciting!
June 29, 200421 yr im pretty sure i read somewhere that ben davis would catch garcia the rest of the way but cant remember where i read it but to me it makes sense because he is the only catcher garcia knows
June 29, 200421 yr my momma told me that life is like having three catchers, you never know who your gonna get *when said in a forest gump voice, that is funny to me =D
