July 19, 200421 yr Sorry Gold-I couldn't resist http://encarta.msn.com/quiz_95/Could_You_P...Grade_Math.html jokes on you 9/10... ...even i'm surprised with that score...
July 19, 200421 yr Author jokes on you 9/10... ...even i'm surprised with that score... I had to go into the editor just to read that last line
July 19, 200421 yr I knew that was going to be a trainwreck going in. 4/10 Ouch. 2 were complete guesses and 2 I actually figured out, so really it was a 2/10.
July 19, 200421 yr 9/10 Didn't notice that the value in the corner of the triangle was (x-5), so I put 54 rather than 59.
July 19, 200421 yr I looked at it for 2 seconds then clicked off.. I'm too lazy.. Plus my brain hurts from looking at numbers from math when I'm on vacation..
July 19, 200421 yr 10 out of 10...oh ya. Now give me one of my old calc tests and I doubt I'd get 1 right. I just remember that we did derivitives, I don't have a clue how the hell to do them anymore.
July 20, 200421 yr 9 of 10. That last one killed me. I also only used a pencil for two questions because I didn't think you were allowed to.

I'm not sure...few months since we did them.
July 20, 200421 yr Isn't it where you take the exponent multiplied by the coefficient and subtract the exponent by one? I'm not sure...few months since we did them. Yeah, that's one of the derivatives. There's plenty more rules and variations though.
July 20, 200421 yr 7/10 Didn't notice they wanted the current altitude Bored and guessed with the cube And the shorter route rectangle. Isn't the distance he will walk 800 ft vs. 1,000 feet? How is 290 feet correct?
July 20, 200421 yr And the shorter route rectangle. Isn't the distance he will walk 800 ft vs. 1,000 feet? How is 290 feet correct? a^2 + b^2 = c^2 1600 + 3600 =sqrt5200 sqrt5200 = 721.1 1000-721=279
July 20, 200421 yr a^2 + b^2 = c^2 1600 + 3600 =sqrt5200 sqrt5200 = 721.1 1000-721=279 The only reason I missed that one is because I didn't have a calculator to figure out the square root of 52. I guessed what it would be close to, and I said seven. Wait I minute, I must just not have subtracted the number from 1,000.
July 21, 200421 yr 10/10 but that last one took a while in my head. I figured also the sqrt would be a little more than seven so that gave me a pretty good guess at the diagonal.
