Notre Dame thinks they are an elite program so they fire their coach prematurely. Now they show how elite they are with their current beat down at the hands of OSU, oh wait it's Oregon St.

I may have asked this before....but I don't remember and I'm too tired to search....is ISU the de facto favorite in the North next year? Or will one of the other teams get their act together.

I'm happy to see Iowa State win. Hopefully Iowa can win also.

I doubt they will be favorites but they will get more credit, thats for sure

Who will it be then? Nebraska is my favorite....if their recruits step up.

I'm guessing Nebraska will be most people's favorites with Callahan having a year under his belt now (and some great recruits). CU, KSU and ISU have to close behind. Mizzou will have an experience offense, but graduated most of their defense. KU should improve on this past season. I doubt it could be as bad this year, but I'd imagine the teams will be pretty well bunched again.

I can't wait for all the big bowls on Saturday.

Got some good ones before Saturday:

Today:

Texas Tech v. Cal

Friday:

Arizona St v. Purdue

Boise St v. Louisville (could be a fun offensive game to watch)

Miami (FL) v. Florida

Go NIU tonight!!!

It's probably gona be a terribly boring game though. Two running offenses going up against each other with rain. Wow souns like fun. I honestly dont know anything about Troy so I dont know if they are good or not, but I would assume a Troy fan knows nothing about NIU. I dont really know whos going to win but I'll be on of the few watching.

I'm looking forward to Boise St. v. Louisville more than any other bowl other than the Orange...

BCS Bowls got watered down with automatic bids going to teams like Pitt (good team, but not BCS worthy)

NIU won 34-21! :headbang :headbang

SS alum Bernard Pollard (Bee Nutz :headbang) may have just won the game for Purdue with that blocked punt. 23-20 Purdue.

Or not... :o

AZ takes it down the field in less than a minute. 27-23 ASU, 43 seconds to go.

Horrible defense by Purdue on that drive. Hope they come back and represent the Big 10!

Arizona State=Worst.Postgame.Interview.Ever!

Boise State anging tought vs. Louisville. Down 1 with 2 minutes left.

I'm on your side -- the only thing softer than Texas playing a good team is purdue's defense in the last minute of yesterday's game -- man did that piss me off.

Guy at work is an Oklahoma grad and he told me Michigan is gonna win cuz there are two games that Texas sucks at. Vs. Oklahoma and any bowl game.

How many tiimes is Wisconsin gonna turn the ball over in scoring position?

And LSU misses a 42 yd PAT

Iowa 14 LSU 12
