That was about the s***tiest SB attempt ever. Why would you stare in at the C the whole time you were running?

Perfect example of why I think Willie Harris is not the answer in that 1st inning.

 

It's ok to get thrown out trying to steal, but don't look into the catcher to see what he's doing for the first 10 steps of your jump. And then he slides right into the tag. That's just dumb baseball.

- How sad is it that the Sox organization has praised Grilli for how he's performed with the Sox this year. His era is 6.5!

Nice throw Carlos, and an even better tag by Uribe. Grilli is getting nickel and dimed to death already.

Willie Harris is that fast, he is just a bad base runner. He has incredible speed.

Anyway, after giving up 3 straight hits, the runner thrown out at 3rd seemed to give Grilli new life, as he gets out of the inning with only the one run allowed

 

1-0 Anaheim after 1.

I can't wait to see Uribe play 3B next season. At least he knows how to apply a tag unlike Joe Crediocre. I also can't wait to see which minor leaguers we get for that sack of s*** in the offseason.
