KID-SEX SHOCKER

By LEONARD GREENE and DAN MANGAN

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 8, 2004 -- A 29-year-old Connecticut woman — accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy for months — says she considers the little neighbor her "boyfriend" and hopes to marry him someday, authorities said yesterday.

"I don't want anyone but you!" Tammy Imre allegedly wrote in a letter to the boy, who was a playmate of Imre's 7-year-old daughter.

"Now tomorrow it's supposed to rain, you can come over [and] we can (you know what)."

The Stratford woman's letter was discovered Sept. 21 by the boy's older brother, who gave it to their mother, authorities said. Their mom went to the police the next day.

"They [the letter's contents] were grown things that should not have been said to a little boy," the 8-year-old's mother told The Post yesterday. "My instincts were to go over and bust her door down."

Police arrested Imre on Friday at her Birch Drive home, which is just across the street from the boy's house.

A divorced blonde who works as a secretary and was once an aspiring actress, Imre is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of risk of injury to a minor for the alleged sex incidents. She faces more than 20 years in prison if convicted.

The case comes months after one of the nation's most infamous kiddie-sex offenders — Mary Kay LeTourneau — was released after prison for seducing a sixth-grade male student. She went on to have two children with the boy, who is now an adult.

Imre is scheduled to be arraigned today in Bridgeport court, and is being held on $100,000 bond.

Imre readily admitted to police that she had a long-term sexual relationship with the boy, the Connecticut Post reported.

Imre told police, "I can't give a number, but it was a lot," referring to the number of sexual encounters with the boy, according to the newspaper. At least one of those encounters reportedly was witnessed by Imre's 7-year-old daughter, who told police she had seen the boy and her mom doing "disgusting" things, the paper said.

The boy's mother told The New York Post that she believes Imre began having sex with her son about six months ago, when he was still 7 years old. Imre would have sex with him in her home, while her daughter was downstairs watching television, said the boy's mother.

"I didn't suspect anything," the mother said, adding that she and Imre used to walk each other's children to the school bus stop and that Imre and her daughter attended the boy's eighth birthday party in September. "She didn't only ruin my son's life, she ruined her daughter's," the mother said, noting that Imre's daughter has been taken away by a social services agency.

That woman must of been truely wacked in out in the head...

There's like a 0% chance this kid will lead a normal life now too

WOW, i mean WOW

WTF

Why does a story like this even need to be brought here?

  • Author

Because I felt like it was newsworthy. Is there a problem?

I kept waiting for them to say she was menatlly ill or something...I can't believe this lady was normal.....

Insane!!!!!

Why does a story like this even need to be brought here?

This kind of stuff, and that type of person, NEEDS to be brought to the light of day.

The WORST thing for other potential victims is for this type of activity to go unreported.

And if you mean, why HERE?, I'd say that (1) because it's the non-sports-related board and (2) because some people on the board have kids and can relate to the pain that family is suffering right now.

I'd rather know and be outraged than not know and have that molester hide in the shadows.

The sad thing is, for ever molester that is found out and convicted, there are many more that aren't found out and are never punished.

My God! :headshake

Wacky People in this World. She's gotta be pretty ugly... :puke

Why does a story like this even need to be brought here?

Because that's why this part of the board is for, And it's general topic. If you don't wanna read it then fine. But maybe others do. ;)

It's news, people like that are sick, sheesh what a putz she is :bringit

I'm well aware this is a non-sports related board. I disagree with you that this article benefited us in any way. You made it seem like the posting of this article at soxtalk.com helped catch the molestor, or will help us catch more child molestors in the future. If you have a child, there is no way you can relate to the pain that family is feeling, unless of course your child has been molested due to your bad parenting.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but when something like this happens, it isn't always due to bad parenting.

Wow.. that's got to be the most ignorant, idiotic, stupid comment I've read on this board in a long time.

Thank you.

I made no such inference, and if that's the way you took it, that's your deal.

I am referring to the fact that it was reported in the news at all, not specifically here. EVERY story about one of these monsters being caught is a good thing, if for no other reason that to re-emphasize the need for parents to keep a sharp eye on their kids for any changes in their behavior that might suggest that something is wrong.

As for your statement that no one can relate to it "unless of course your child has been molested due to your bad parenting", way to place the blame on the parents of victimized children. That's a stupid statement on a lot of levels and you should be ashamed of yourself. Maybe instead of "relate" I should have said "sympathize" - maybe then you wouldn't make such a retarded leap as to suggest that I'm a bad parent whose kid was molested, simply because I thought of what a horror that would be if it happened to my kid.

I'm glad at least that you understood the part about this being a non-sports board, because you COMPLETELY misread the rest of my post.

After seeing his comments... surely you're not surprised..

Unfortunately, I'm always a little surprised at that kind of comment.

I like to think that the folks here "get" things a little better than that.

Dear god, that kid must have been a pimp... not even I was pulling hoes when I was 8

Somehow I expected that woman to be like 300 lbs and ugly as heck...

You just can't tell who's a pedofile anymore. Makes me scared to death to have kids.

hey man, the kid may have been 8 but im sure he had standards

There's like a 0% chance this kid will lead a normal life now too

Agreed. Even though I could say jokes like this kid is a p-i-m-p and damn he's hittin the ladies at 7-8, what a stud, it's just really sick. Damn that has to be hard for the boy's mother too. I doubt she'll ever trust anyone like she did then ever again. ;)
