November 19, 200421 yr Moose Vasko just mentioned in an update on The Score that there wil be a press conferance on Monday announcing the new name of the Expos. Rumors have ot that it will be the Washington Nationals.

November 20, 200421 yr IDC what there name is, there wont be a washington team within the next 30 years and it will be placed in Vegas as it should've been. Washington has had it's chance to have a baseball team countless times and has failed.

That's why I always referred to them as the Elbows. FWIW, I don't think there is a good political-themed name that would work for Washington. To me, the only good Washington sports name was the Bullets, and we all know that here in the "New 1950's" that name would never work. The Capitals isn't THAT bad, though, now that I think about it...kinda forgot about hockey, like the rest of the sports world has....
