Snow is on the way...or so says the weather dudes.

January 4, 2005 — A Winter Storm Watch goes into effect this evening for the ABC 7 viewing area and will last through the entire day on Wednesday.

Snow totals for this storm by Thursday morning could run from 6 to 12 inches. That amount is possible north of I-80.

South of I-80, around Joliet, Romeoville, those areas will pickup around six-inches total. But further south, down toward Bourbonnais, there may be a layer of ice and on top of that a couple of inches of snow.

The towns in the heaviest area of snow are Waukegan, McHenry, and Chicago, that's right, the city could see as much as six inches to a foot of snow.

The heaviest snow with this storm system is going to be coming down during the daylight hours Wednesday. Average snowfall for the entire month of January is 11.3-inches. We may hit that in one day.

If you are that anxious to use it, you can always come visit us after a "lake effect event"

SNOW SNOW SNOW!

SNOW DAY!

There won't be one in downers, i just know it.

Bring it on!!! Ye-ha bring it on!!!

I'm skiing the mighty slopes of Wilmont Mountain tomorrow! The more, the merrier.

I hate the snow :(

The only good thing about it is it can close Public schools. (doubt it will around my area tomorrow) Well.. gotta get the shovel ready.

Snow, Ice, Blah!

I'm not a big fan but I can't let it bother me that much.

We could gett 5-18 inches here. As a senior who doesn't have to make up snow days, I'm hoping that there's snow up to the windows tomorrow. :D

Northern Iowa is getting snow right now. It's getting pretty bad.

Cedar Lake didn't get anything last night. It rained all night, though...Damn it!

Here in Indiana where I live were supposed to get 1/2-1 inch of ice and 2 inches of snow. Im hoping for no school!

Where in Indiana?

This is sick...In Ft. Wayne, we have a whole inch of ice on the ground. It looks like snow, but it's all ice. We're continuing to get more and more snow later on.

Winter :fyou

Well here in Gary, Indiana, we’ve received at least 3-4 inches of snow. I got the shovel out and plowed my front driveway, though it is still snowing pretty hard.

As many, I’m hoping for no school. :D

Damnit, I hope it starts coming down harder.

Supposedly most of the snow is coming tonight, where I live.

Hopefully!
