An ellipsis [ . . . ] proves to be a handy device when you're quoting material and you want to omit some words. The ellipsis consists of three evenly spaced dots (periods) with spaces between the ellipsis and surrounding letters or other marks.

 

Yes, there is a name for that, and proper style. Something Jerry Pinkham, a journalism professor I had years ago drilled into my head.

We watched it the last time they documented the Ranch... this one seems stupid. The girls are so flighty. And ugh.. the Viagra segment.. ick.

Anyone watch "Super-Size Me"???? I loved it! Thought it was one of the better documentaries of late.

I went right out and ate 2 big mac meals.

They had one where they hold group classes for men, it was interesting. I like that HBO keeps pushing the limit first with Pornucopia and now Cathouse. TV should be less uptight about the whole subject, IMO.

We mentioned to Jim's daughter that we watched it the last time.. her husband was like "oh hell yea!!!" and she just about had a stroke. "Dad!!! How could you watch that stuff...?!?!?!". I was like oh boy... she must be a ton of fun in the sack. My poor son-in-law.

Very true lol. I learned so much. But of course, like the fat-ass family we are, we immediately went out and got a few Fruit/Yogurt Parfaits and Hot Fudge Sundaes.

Oh no.. Jim and Paul talk pretty openly. It's pretty funny. When Jim and I first got together Paul used to always make comments about our "private life" and Jim would just smile and say "you wish". His ex was an extreme prude and when his son was caught with an "adult movie" she wanted to ground him... he was 20 at the time. His daughter views anything like that as degrading to females. A shame.. if she, and likely many other females, took the time and effort to learn a few things maybe their lives wouldn't be so ho hum..
