Another Teachers strike mayhaps?

 

Its actually forbidden by state law now. I am thinking at least another work to rules action, along with a big media blitz. I think after the Sweeney debacle, they realized they have to take their case to the public instead of trying to negotitate with these idiots.

 

One of the more interesting stats, with as low as City teachers rank in pay, they have 85 administrators, with Harding making $111,500. The next highest school system in total of administrators is Portage with 50, and you know how much bigger they are. Merrillville has 10 admins total. Hmm I wonder where they could cut back some?

MCAS was a school system with such potential and they've done nothing but piss it away. And they have talented teachers who seem handcuffed quite a bit. It's one of the few school districts where a strike might do well for the system in the medium/long term.

Advisor: (looks at me as if retarded) No, not that interpol, it's a band.

Me: Oh, I thought it was a European Union thing.

Advisor: Well, it kind of is. But we went and saw that band.

(awkward silence)

Advisor: I'm not smarter than you. But I am cooler than you.

In regards to my shockingly excellent performance review

Me: Well, "work shall make you free."

Advisor: Is that from the Bible?

Me: No, it's what was written over the gates as Auswitz.

Advisor: That's not a very nice image.

Okay. The little priss set me up. But after I re-told the story to every one I knew in my (and her) pre-teen set, I felt sooo much better. And SHE was the one who came off looking like a dope.

Oops...I had a tough last hour and made the mistake of saying that I am thinking about quitting to someone here (I have been thinking about it, different story). Well, CFO called my boss to talk to me to see what is wrong and what can be changed. I just told him about being slammed and such and there were several things that were sent to me that should not have been. I didn't talk to him about the serious doubts about this job for many reasons. Someday I will have a job I don't dread going to lol.
