Bulls

Bulls, playoffs? i dont know but i like the fact we can beat the teams under .500 this year as well as a few who aren't. Do the bulls still need to make a trade or are they fine with what they got? I think their fine and ben gordan will take them far in a couple of years.

There is no point IMO for the Bulls to do anything, expect mabye trade 1 of Tyson/Eddie if they know there not going to resign them both next season. Other than that, as in trading young players to get better now, that would be stupid. I still think the Bulls are 1 year away from being legit, so I think they should just play it out. It will be interesting to see how Gordon, Deng, and Duhon hold up in late Feb. when the NBA grind starts kicking in......

Even if they resign both curry and chandler they will have enough money for a nearly max contract player. I am sure if the right player comes along they will spend the little bit more to get him. I see them keeping both of them, honestly.

There's no way we sign TC and EC and another max player.

After the year we are at 30 mil with TC and EC resigned we jump back to 55ish.

All depends on what the enw CBA looks like, who knows how much a 'max deal' is going to be worth.

He realized he was wrong on aim. :P

:lol: You bastard, we were both a little confused there for a while.

But Show is right, the CBA could change things.

i dont think we sign a big FA this year i hope we do it when AD comes off the books... also whatevr happened to that Frankie Williams for smushie parker or whatevr and a 2nd round pick

QUOTE(Pale Hose Jon @ Jan 11, 2005 -> 09:59 PM)
Well they may still trade Frank but probably just for a second round pick.

No teams really have a need for a slow over weight point guard. The pistons already cut smush parker and they were the only team interested in him.

If the Bulls are going to make a move, they should go after Jimmy Jackson of New Orleans. He would come pretty cheaply, if the Bulls offered a young guy with potential like Chris Duhon etc.

i really think we should trade Duhon too.... yeah he is an assist machine but 1. he cant shoot the ball worth a damn and 2. signed only a 1 year contract with us.

Rather keep the team how it is and sign some middle of the road next guy rather than trade for one now. I know some people will not agree with me on this. But no one we trade for will honestly put us over the top and make us legitimate contenders. Keep duhon and you have a very nice back up point guard.

screaming a smith said on espn that the bulls will be in contention the last week of the season

leave the team as is, theres nothing wrong, unless we lose like six in a row then trade

Now THAT is definition of a fair weather fan. LOL

Back-up point guard??? uh....he is the starting point, both Kirk and Ben play the 2.

Yes, he is starting for us. But realistically he is not a starter.

Thats why I think the Bulls will target a SG sometime this offseason. However, KC Johnsons article on the Bulls implies that they won't have much cap room this offseason, rather the following offseason is when they'll have a ton of dough.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 01:18 AM)
The one move the Bulls need to make, is to get a big 2 guard to play defense at the end of games.  Gordon/Hinrich/Duhon are all too small.

That was Orlando's thinking in trading Mobley for Doug Christie.

and by what the rumors are saying, a great clubhouse guy

He is no longer the same defensive player he was two or three years ago. Still good, but not top notch like he use to be.

yeah sort of is :)
