20 Spring Training Games on Comcast

Featured Replies

already a big upgrade from Fox Sports.

Just heard on Comcast, 20 spring training games will be telecast, starting on March 7.

i'm sure all the games against the Cubs will be on.

be a good way to get to see Brian Anderson, Brandon McCarthy and Ryan Sweeney because the young guys always finish out spring training games.

Happy Birthday to me then! :headbang

That is VERY badass. Excellent work by Comcast there. Spring Training is great for holding over your baseball cravings until the season starts. I love it! :headbang :headbang

If you have the MLB extra innings package, you should be able to.

If you just have the sports pack, you can get comcast, but games are blacked out.

Dunno if they will block out spring training games though.

I was gonna say, I'm not sure they black out the ST games. I don't think the extra innings package counts towards this. I recall watching some Red Sox ST games last year on NESN.

Good god, how many were on FSN last year? 5?

I like the more local touch and better picture quality of Comcast so far.

I wasn't for sure, since I have the package I've never had any problems viewing any of the games.

I recall watching some last year, but I'm sure there we're some blacked out as well. Not sure on how they decide on what games can and cannot be shown.

I'll probably be at some of these games, I'm planning on heading down for that last week of ST when the big boys get out on the field and rake.

10, count 'em 10! 7pm replays for we unfortunates with day jobs. We can actually see some of these young guys for ourselves.

You've gotta invest in TiVo my friend, you won't regret it.

What scares me is my cable company still hasn't picked up comcast. I swear if I miss one Sox game i'm going to be so pissed off.

You may wanna look into DirecTv if they don't pick it up.

I was reading the press release over on whitesox.com about this, and not once did they mention who would be doing the games. You think it would mention Hawk, since I'm sure he'll be doing some if not all of the games...

This is somewhat off-topic, but on the XM deal, does anyone know if each team will have it's own station or will they only broadcast the home team feed for each game?

I am hoping they just make a station for each team, but wasn't sure if that is how it's going to be.

I just saw that. I wouldn't be too concerned with that. It seems it's almost a given that Hawk and DJ will be doing Sox games. Wouldn't it be weird if Chimp and Stone started doing Sox games, since they left the north side? :bang

Chimp went to the Braves, so that's out of the picture. :D
