Maybe it's just me but I don't like threads that start out with I read such and such on a message board...

I do not read wsi but they are fans just like us. So it does not really bother me at all.

Sox fans are Sox fans no matter what board they are on...

"Tadahito Iguchi's home stadium, the Fukuoka Dome, is a pitchers' park in the Pacific League, and has some of the larger field dimensions in Japan, including high fences."

Could prove useful if we do sign him.

While it is hearsay, you can easily go to WSI, and read the thread yourself to get the first hand knowledge.

::Shrugs::

I think it makes sense, and is what many have speculated for a long time, that the Sox will do something at Sox fest.

Iguchi may have been the only guy they could wait with.

Im guessing we are close to signing Iguchi... KW wouldnt let Cairo,Grundz and Cora go if we werent going to get Tadahito...

KW big thing this offseason was speed, defense up the middle and pitching. Iguchi would fill 2 of those needs also with Ozzie not to happy with Harris I can only hope is we are close to getting him

Shingo needs a buddy :). I mean I heard Marte picked up some japanese, but we could really become a hit in Japan with Iguchi's signing.

Stop building up the suspense...It can only be bad for our situation. If the signing of Iguchi is not announced, then everyone will be pissed at KW...Bad, bad...

Yes people will be angry but thing is kenny must just say today we locked up rowand.

The streets of Chinatown would be complete bedlum this evening.

I know China and Japan are not the same thing, I just like to rile up the PC folk from time to time.

Even if the Sox dont sign Iguchi nobody has a reason to be upset at KW this has been a great offseason so far..

You would think peopel would be happy but there are always a few not satisfied.

I just heard Mel Antonnen from USA Today on sporting news radio on Sirius that the Sox offer Iguchi a 3year 9-10M deal.. I dont know if this mean we are going to sign him

3 to 3.3 million a year! If this is true, he should be signing it right now.... that's almost a million more than he made in Japan.

If this is indeed true, Iguchi will be introduced to the media quite soon.

Now!!! Well starting tonight.

And if we really offered Iguchi that contract, we are gonna have a new 2B announced in the next two days.
