April Fools.

Ha freakin' ha. This really ticked me off when I first saw it. Good prank. :gosox4:

A better joke would have been a message when I log in that says: "You are being redirected to www.cubs.com.

I don't understand the point of all the hatred.  The Cubs and Sox are both Chicago based teams.  It only makes sense that we share a message board.

You must not have grown up in chicago a sox fan. The cubs are not based in chicago as far as I am concerned. If this becomes a cubs message board too, I for one, am out.

Finally, I can take my Ryno jersey out of retirement here.

Hah, I didn't even notice the banner til after I was throught his thread. :fthecubs

If this has been brought up previously, I apologize, but I have not seen it.

Interesting note on that banner: Has anybody else noticed that Mark Buherle & Kerry Wood have pitched in exactly the same number of games? MB threw 25 games in relief in 2000, so KW has more starts, but the numbers are very similar, esp. considering KW is considered a god in the baseball media and MB is kind if an afterthought at best.

KW MB

Record 67-50 69-45

ERA 3.63 3.76

CG 11 15

Shut outs 5 5

WHIP 1.26 1.24

HR 109 109

Ks 1209 581

BB 512 240

K/BB 2.36 2.42

Wild Pitches 45 8

oops, it didn't show up how i typed it, but i think you can get the idea

Well I am glad to see you pathetic redneck Sox fans finally came to your senses and jumped on a real bandwagon.

Hell even I know that Kerry Wood is the best pitcher in Chicago, and the Wrigley Field is a Hall of Fame Landmark.

Congrats to the site former known as Soxtalk!

Even you are welcome here, now, JayMariotti. Glad to have you.

I just read the announcement and saw the banner  :headbang  :headbang

I've been asking for a long time why we cannot have Cub fans here. Now that Boston won a world series, I want one for Chicago. If it means the Cubs, I'll cheer just as loud.

Go Chicago!!

I just praised you on another thread. You were kidding weren't you?? Just like the song says, root for the White Sox and whoever plays the Cubs.

When is the URL changing

I want a cubs skin

change my name to cubsfan56789

:banghead
