April 7, 200521 yr Last night, I reached for the flashlight to check out my throat, because it was hurting like hell. To my dismay, I saw tons of white spots on my tonsils and in the back of my throat. I went to work today; however, I gave folders of work for my students for Thursday and Friday to the payroll clerk and have a doctor's appointment Friday. It HAS to be strept throat...And it's painful! It even hurts to swallow water! And that Chlorosceptic Sore Throat Gargle stuff burns it like an iron! The only plus is that I now get to watch the Sox game tomorrow on CSN in my front room. Enough about that story...It seems like lots of people at Bogan are under the weather currently...Has the ailing bug hit you recently? Edited April 7, 200521 yr by BridgeportHeather
April 7, 200521 yr Hmm, the only sickness I have that I just can't seem to shake is the one that makes me mind-numbingly Bored at work. I guess thats the price you pay for working 3rd shift technical support
April 7, 200521 yr Right now I feel good, but this winter was a b**** for me illness-wise. I never felt quite right from like November til February. It was always something. Ugh. Glad THAT's over. Get well soon, Hedder!!
April 7, 200521 yr I have allergies and fighting off a chest cold (so far the extra vitamin C I am taking is working!).
April 8, 200521 yr I haven't had a cold or anything like that knock me on my ass since I stopped drinking milk and instead started taking calcium supplements with my daily vitamins. But the last thing I had was a little stomach ache (which was post drinking related...tends to happen after an evening of 3 shots of Captain, 5 PBRs, 3 shots of Smirnoff, 4 shots of Stoli Orange, a Stoli Orange screwdriver and a Belgian Ale)
April 8, 200521 yr QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) I just got blue balls I have a cure for you.
April 8, 200521 yr Author QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 07:15 AM) I just got over both Strep and Bronchitis. No fun whatsoever. Funny thing, I had Bronchitis about 3 months ago. I haven't had two "bugs" hit me like this in many years. I think that this could be stemmed due to my change in environment from suburban life to having lived in the city now for several months (almost downtown, actually).

April 8, 200521 yr The sickness I have can't be cured....sickness of the mind I believe they called it :banghead
April 8, 200521 yr My then-girlfriend (now wife) got mono a few years ago and, somehow, I never showed any symptoms. And I'm pretty sure that I was infected with the virus, if ya know what I mean.

April 8, 200521 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) WOW, how can you see your tonsils so easily? They're right at the back of your throat on either side.. unless you've had them removed. Easily visable.
April 8, 200521 yr If it doesn't go away it could be mono. My sis had it about 6 months ago and when you looked at the back of her throat all you saw was all this white puss and stuff. Dr's prescriped it as if it were Strep throat but the anti's did do anything and then the test showed up saying it was mono. On a sidenote, are certain people more prone to strep throat? Hell I didn't even realize it was all that contagious.
April 8, 200521 yr Author The test results are in, and apparently, it's not strept throat, but instead, a bacterial infection. The doctor gave me Augmentin and decongestant pills to take for the next 10 days. I should be better in time for work Monday morning.
April 8, 200521 yr I had strep throat and the flu two weeks ago. Strep is going around big time. Lots of people at the gym and work have had it. Love taking horse pills.
