April 8, 200521 yr In his defense, hollandworth blew it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True, but LaTroya did give up a single and a double with 2 outs either way.
April 8, 200521 yr Hollandsworth with a leadoff walk. Hairston deadens a bunt on his second attempt and the catcher picks it up and throws Hollandsworth out at 2nd base.
April 8, 200521 yr Even if the Cubs win this game, I'm still going to take some pleasure from it knowing that Hawkins has already blown a game. I guarantee every Cubs fan is b****ing about their closing position right now. Much more so than we were yesterday.

Every Flubs fan is going to hate Hendry for not signing a closer like Troy Percival or Armando Benitez.
April 8, 200521 yr Patterson K's on a horrible pitch. 2 outs. Patterson is trying to take over the title of "K-Master" from Geoff Jenkins and Jeromy Burnitz. Edited April 8, 200521 yr by Jabroni
April 8, 200521 yr Have to love Patterson's swing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was a pretty disgusting swing. Even Crede might not be able to match that one. :puke
April 8, 200521 yr I'll never understand why Cubs didn't go harder after Benitez. Benitez was lights-out last year, and he's still young enough that he's not going to start throwing 88 mph all of a sudden. On the other hand, I think Percival is well on the decline. He was very shaky for the Angels last year. I'd guess every Angels fan is happier with K-Rod as their closer instead of Percival. With the Cubs high payroll, you would think they'd spend some money on their bullpen, which failed them so much last year.

He thinks he's a genius, when in fact, he's just an overrated GM. Nomar singles to RF. Hairston at 2nd base, Nomar at 1st base, Ramirez up with 2 outs. Edited April 8, 200521 yr by Jabroni
April 8, 200521 yr Ramirez K's on a nasty slider way off the plate to end the inning! Let's go Brewers!
April 8, 200521 yr That was the worst AB I've seen from Aramis in a long time. Now, Jenkins has the chance at 5 K's in a game. Where's Austin Kearns when you need him?

April 8, 200521 yr LMAO.. I have like 10 people in my office and I am reading this.. when I read he struck out I was like YES!!! everyone looked at me like I was crazy.. LOL.
April 8, 200521 yr Ah yes, the reverse psychology worked against Jenkins! Leadoff double for Jenkins.
April 8, 200521 yr I like the Cubs jerseys with no names on them. Also laughing as someone says "Jenkins, you stink" so you could hear it on tv.
April 8, 200521 yr Ah yes, the reverse psychology worked against Jenkins! Leadoff double for Jenkins. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Finally. He doesn't K. Miller showed bunt but he now has a 3-1 count.
April 8, 200521 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) Geoff Jenkins = Brett Favre ? = First time I met him I thought he was Farve.. I asked him for his ID to prove he wasn't.
April 8, 200521 yr Good bunt by Branyan. Not in a million years would I have thought he could get it down.
April 8, 200521 yr Good bunt by Russell Branyan. He's definately not used to doing that. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. Kasper and Brenly try to stay calm... Edited April 8, 200521 yr by Jabroni
April 8, 200521 yr Jon Leicester in for 1-year wonder Glendon Rusch. Is there any doubt now that last year was a fluke?
April 8, 200521 yr Hmmmm.....so this is what it looks like to save relievers in case the game goes to extras? Sorry, had to say that.
