Then today you were going on and on about "Paulsy" then he hits a 3 run HR and your changing your tune..

I agree we can't be screwing around in a pennant race. I also agree it's too soon to write off McCarthy but it's very fair to say it appears he's not ready to contribute as a starter in a pennant race.

 

So tomorrow, we can talk about what KW does next. That should be fun.

I'd rather not have McCarthy in the bullpen. Not necessarily confident in a pitcher who has struggled with his control and the long ball in the majors. He needs two years in the minors to refine and polish his stuff and command.

These are the kinds of game Ozzie has struggled with, games that require bullpen management over four innings.

 

Couple of times he has nearly run out of pitchers.

 

We can't use Shingo.

 

So he needs to try to get an inning from Viz.

 

then one from Cotts.

 

And then mix and match Marte, Cliff and Hermie over the last two.

 

But getting one from Viz would be huge.

The short answer is not many.

 

The good answer is, if there is one available, the White Sox GM will sniff it out. Personally I prefer a rubber arm guy who can start or relieve.

 

Royals drill one, 8-7. The pitching has been bad but the ball is flying tonite.

So much for Vizcaino not sucking anymore. This game is disappointing pitching-wise.

Kip Wells got rocked in his two starts in the AL, just like he did with us. He's the last person we want.
