White Sox at A's 7/2 Gamethread

Anyone else feel like they're gonna pull the same thing from last night? Score all the runs in one inning, get shut down the rest of the game.

This game isn't over, but a team starting Timo Perez shouldn't expect to win. Our offense certainly isn't nearly good enough to allow that guy to play.

Jeez, Garland was perfect thru three, with an 0-2 count leading the 4th and hits they guy in the back. I have just one comment:

O-I-O

(Only In Oakland)

I better not have to freaking post that again tonight! SFF

Well whatever it does has to do with, its always happening in Oakland :P

Mr. Chavez, that is how a gold-glove 3rd baseman picks up a hard hit grounder. Watch and learn.

You can say what you want about Crede at the plate, but he's been awesome at the hot corner this year.

It has to do with the offense being a cock tease and forcing our pitchers to basically be perfect to have a chance to win, or at least not lose. They show flashes of brilliance, but pretty much score in one inning and go through the motions for the rest of the game.

This pitching is amazing, but this offense is just plain bad.

I love seeing our leadoff hitter swinging on the first pitch.

Good job Willie.

Excellent. I've been waiting for Harris/Podsednik to get on base all night.

Get to second, it's Kendall behind homeplate. Come on Harris.

Cmon Frank, just a base hit now.

I love to watch Willie run!

Thank God, 3-2. Frank's second or third non-homerun hit this year, haha.

That's beautiful, right there. Awesome job by Harris and Thomas.

Psst, hey Pauly, nobody hits homeruns off of Saarloos. Just to let you know.

Clutch hit by the Big Hurt!!!

I like seeing Willie play, but I don't want to see him everyday.

Willie just stole second to get into scoring position, which allowed Frank to drive him in.

What’s wrong with A’s fans?

Friday: 15,000

Saturday: 45,000

Are you serious? Fireworks are twice the draw that the A’s are.

No problem with Willie starting, he seems perfect for the role he has. Timo, on the other hand, shouldn't even be on the team. The most he should do is come into a game with a ridiculous lead.

Man, A.J. has had 3 well hit balls tonight, and they've all ended up being outs.

You know how you'll sometimes see a guy who's struggling right when they start pulling out of it, they'll start getting good swings on the ball and just nailing it but it'll go straight at people?

I think A.J.'s right there now...he is tearing this guy up and has nothing to show for it. I think that's a good sign...couple more games and he might just snap and start spraying the ball into the gaps.

Argh - leadoff single. Come on Jon gotta hold em down.
