July 30, 200520 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Randy Winn is supposedly being traded today. Not sure to who yet. Per rotoworld: Mariners' Winn scratched, trade likely Randy Winn has been scratched from this afternoon's lineup and a trade is expected. We don't know where he's going, but the Yankees have been attached to his name most often.
July 30, 200520 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Holy f***. Manny pulled right before the game from the lineup. I saw that on MLB.com also. I wonder if the trade b/w the Mets, TB, and Bos is finalized.
July 30, 200520 yr Per Rotoworld Manny Ramirez - OF - BOS The Baseball Tonight crew has learned that Manny Ramirez will not be traded, ESPNews reports. OK. Ramirez was scratched tonight and the Red Sox still aren't saying why. His hamstring may be giving him problems again, but it's not just that. Jul. 30 - 7:15 pm et
July 31, 200520 yr Baseball Tonight - Mariner's Randy Winn traded to the Giants for Yorvit Torrealba and SP Jesse Foppert
July 31, 200520 yr QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) They said on BBTN that Manny did'nt want to play because of boo birds. What a f***ing cry-baby. "Waaaaaaah, I make 20 million a year but I have no provacy, waaaah!" :finger Manny

July 31, 200520 yr QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:53 AM) AUstin Kearns just was pulled from the game after getting walked with the bases loaded......i assume Austin, HE GAWN, but to whom? Cubs?

July 31, 200520 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) Miquel Olivo got shipped to SD. do u have a link to the olivo trade, i havent heard about it yet. if so, i wish miguel the best. he struggled in seattle and was pretty solid with us
July 31, 200520 yr per rotoworld: Miguel Ojeda - C - SEA Mariners acquired catcher Miguel Ojeda and RHP Nate Mateo from the Padres for catcher Miguel Olivo. Because the Yorvit Torrealba pickup didn't make it obvious enough that they were giving up on Miguel Olivo, the Mariners made it offical. Ojeda might be assigned to Triple-A Tacoma for now, but the plan is probably for him to be Torrealba's backup through at least 2006. The 30-year-old was a disappointment for the Padres this season after decent showings as a reserve in 2003 and '04. As someone who will start 40 games or so, he should be OK. Mateo, 24, had a 3.08 ERA in 48 relief appearances for Double-A Mobile. He has the fastball to be sort of useful as a 12th pitcher. Jul. 31 - 2:17 am et
July 31, 200520 yr per rotoworld: Miguel Olivo - C - SD Padres acquired catcher Miguel Olivo from the Mariners for catcher Miguel Ojeda and RHP Nate Mateo. It's worth a try. The Mariners thought they had a long-term starter in Olivo when they got him in the Freddy Garcia trade, but he disappointed both offensively and defensively. The Padres will keep in the majors and let him split time with David Ross, apparently taking Robert Fick out of the mix for starts at catcher. If they don't re-sign Ramon Hernandez in the offseason, Olivo would become a candidate to start in 2006. He shouldn't have much in the way of short-term fantasy value. Jul. 31 - 2:20 am et
July 31, 200520 yr There a chance that Mo is like not right in the head right now? He seemed completely devastated when he got traded the first time, and he has not been the same since then.
July 31, 200520 yr Per Ben Maller: In an effort to land a right-handed power bat for their stretch drive, the Indians checked in with the Brewers about Carlos Lee. But Milwaukee said no dice, and believes it has a shot to sign Lee to a contract extension.
July 31, 200520 yr Buster Olney just said that Jamie Moyer was traded to the Braves and the Astros, but he invoked his no-trade clause for both. Didn't he say a while ago that he wanted to win something before he retired? And wouldn't he have a much better chance at winning something on the Braves or Astros than he would on the Mariners, where he has no chance?
