Duque apparently got some advice from The Count of 3 and 2 before this game.

I thought the same thing. They play tight in front of big crowds. :headshake

Well it seems like we do well on the road in front of big crowds, but at home we choke. Then again, maybe this is just a coincidence.

where's your data to back that up...

Their lone win in Oakland on the last trip out west was in front of 45,000, which was more people than the other two days combined.

Douglass is not a great pitcher, hes making his pitches but hes made enough mistakes and the sox have had enough room on him to do something but they just can't. Hopefully they do something this time...

If this game doesn't scream "we need another bat and starting pitcher"  then I don't what does.  I know your not done KW, get on the phones!

well we definitely need another LH handed bat, Chavez sure would have looked good at 3rd, but that's a pipe dream for sure :rolly

They are collectively mourning the loss of Shingo

:crying

Cough..Cough...Omar and Schmidt...cough..cough

We deserve to lose this game tonight, for simply not executing fundamental baseball.

The sky is falling again, we're losing a game through 6. Season over

Ya, I can't believe this team has the audacity to try and lose a game this year!! When does football start?

Another nobody turned into Cy Young. :headshake

Oh well, it's only one game. Sure wish they could have shut down the Tigers on Maggs' return, though.

Its not falling...I'm just tired of seeing Crede then Juna just kill us at the bottom of the order....and I still have faith in Hernandez...plus coming of KW interview that no major moves are coming

I had a feeling we might lose this one, Douglass has been very tough on righties, and El Duque was probably not going to be very sharp. Hopefully we can mount some kind of comeback to at least make it interesting

The Curse of Shingo starts tonight, lol.

I'm a little nervous, we've got some good pitching matchups the next few days.

That was one game. Data? Huh well. The Cub and A's series. Big crowds. Looked bad. Thats all the data I can think of at this second.

Well we are definitely going to need Contreras, Garcia, Buehrle and Garland to keep it going :)

Detroit will finish second in the division and will push hard for wild card....

Haha. They just split a series at home against KC. THey are awful.

Well we did sweep the Dodgers though, barely, and we split w/ the Orioles. I think some of it has to do with the fact that the other teams are pumped up when they come in here w/ a big crowd. It seems like the Sox are a little to lax or something.

Must be the Maggs juice, lol

Anyways...we need runs this inning...Paulie, Rowand, and Dye...theres your 3 runs...
