Their payroll was higher in 1993 than it is right now. That's sad.

right now they're at $36M. nearly $10M less than the left side of the Yankees' infield.

Haha. True.

But that's what I love about baseball. It can turn around so fast. Look at the Twins or Detroit, etc.

But there are teams that are doomed to suck until somebody spends money.

 what? that's a ridiculous statement.

In baseball it takes YEARS to turn around a team for the most part.

When you look at the NFL, teams can change it's fortune year to year, baseball is alot harder.

Thats' because there still in rebuilding mode. I believe the Indians payroll 10 years ago was like 90 million, and today it's between 40-50.

LOL. That's nuts.

In 1993 the Yankee payroll was only $600,000 higher than the Royals who had the highest payroll in the AL West.

Well, I'm just talking about The Twins and Tigers of late. They were horrible one year and much better the next, and even better the next.

Though You are right about football. Much easier to turn it around in a situation like that.

Wow, I'm an ass for not figuring that one out. And anyone who plans on agreeing, shut up :P

I hope this isn't one of those games where we score early and then let the offense coast.

This f'n sucks. My tv periodically is going out because of this damn storm.
