I think a #3 hitter should hit for .300/30/100. There's plenty of #6 hitters that can hit for 30 HRs and drive in 100.

I'm not going to knock Carl, but he is not a #3 hitter. His avg and obp are not good, and he is somewhat of a streaky hitter. On this team he should be hitting 5th, IMO.
