Cliff Politte has been lights out this year, but he now has allowed 2 homers in the last few games. Makes you wonder if the pen isn't getting a bit burned out? Or was it just the luck of the draw. Bad thing about it is the fact it is happening to the best team in baseball by one of the worse.

His stuff looked fine, his control has abandoned him of late

I would think JC will pitch the bottom of this inning. Viz has worked 3 innings in the last 2 days.

Way to go 1-2-3 against a guy with an ERA over 10 and a BAA around .400.

With the shadows creeping over homeplate, and the inconsistent nature of our offense, this game could go into the 20th.

 

If it does happen to go beyond the 14th, we're in trouble. Who's pitching?
