Perrault, Kariya and lets hit the ice.

For the hockey experts out there:

What happens with Tibult, what can we expect in return for him?

Traded for big bad contract worth a risk???

Tampa need a goalie?

Damn good news!!!

As a guy who watches hardly any hockey and even less Blackhawks games, I seem to know a lot more about the NHL than I probably should. If the Blackhawks had their home games on TV I might actually watch a couple more games than I usually watch which is usually around 5-6 games a year.

This signing of Khabibulin actually makes me more interested in watching the Blackhawks, if they made a push this offseason and made up a good team I might be inclined to bring out my Hawks fanship which I have since tucked away hidden deep within myself. Although chances are I'll stick to my Bears, Sox and Bulls and keep the Blackhawks on the backburner.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Kalapse. I'm a casual Hawks fan but Khabibulin interests me big time.

Now for a goal scoring center?

So is this deal official???

Cause I find myself getting hella excited about the Hawks.

Yes

I guess I'm glad that the NHL finally lowered the salary bar far enough for the Hawks to get involved in legit free-agent dealings.

Their defense seems solid.

Khabibulin > Thibault.

Now they need some firepower.

I hope they're good on the road, cuz that's still the only way I'll see them.

Well... he's definitely going to be dealt.

LA has goalie needs maybe? - maybe they dont want JR and turn him right back around and send him back.

Philly has an amazing goalie at the AHL but maybe they don't want to thrust him into the spotlight just yet - maybe they take Thibault in a deal for Simon Gange?

there are options... goaltending is always a premium and we happened to have 2 all-stars on the roster right now. (eventhough thibault blows hard.)

Not a hockey/Hawks fan, but, this seems pretty big.

Who knows, maybe I'll watch a game...or...two this season.

Congrats on a big time signing!

Wow...I'm even excited about the Hawk now!!!

Great sign, now get us a few offensive players that I have heard of and I will be a happy man.

The Bulin Wall has been erected at the UC....

I could see Thibault going to Colorado as well.... they have some people they are looking to deal and Abischer sp? isn't a top caliber goalie.

Now its time to see if they sign Kariya and than if they could deal Thibault for a good center (don't know if thats possible), the Hawks would really be set.

Huge signing, now lets get Kariya :cheers

NUKE, where the f*** are you?

I told you they'd get somebody big. Here you go.

it's safe to say that he can match up with any other players in the league when in comes to their substance abuses.

he's an all NHL first-team substance abuser.
