6th August Game Thread - Sox vs. Mariners

I don't mean this in a negative way...but PK is definitely in his contract year stretch drive right now. He has a lot of money on the table with a good finish to his season.

Buehrle needs to get us back in the dugout.

3-0 Sox, come on Mark, let's get another scoreless inning.

Usually sunday games are on CSN so maybe they switched it up this weekend because tommrows game is on WGN.

Exactly.  It's fine if you play for the long ball....but you're going to need a lot of homers if you can't get anyone on base.

Not arguing here, the offense has been bad this homestand. Hopefully scotty can break out of his slump both offensively and stealing bases soon, cause for most of the year it basically feels like we're getting atleast 1 run when he's on base.

The showed an interesting stat during the Cubs game today. It was a stat that I haven't seen before, but really is important. Jose Reyes and J. Rollins are leading the NL by scoring about 40 pct of the time they reach base. I wonder what Pods ratio is?

1-2-3 for mark

Great job by Buehrle of getting us back up to the plate.

very nice inning

anybody care to look it up or do the math

Timo swinging on first pitch pops it up

Even though it seems like Timo has been better....he's 3 for his last 21.

Initial calculation for Pods seems like it's about 41 pct, which would be the highest in the NL.

Timo + Blum + Uribe = black hole

Well he's been on base 142 times, and scored 59, soooooo that's roughly 43%.

:o uribe walked im shocked

christ uribe

Uribe picked off/caught stealing

Uribe's career stealing percentage is beyond awful. At least Pods gets to leadoff the next inning.

I'm not sure if they take into account reaching via fielders choice, etc.
