BHam down 3-0, Top 5 Young with with a double, ho hum. Honel with 7 K's through 4. Also only 1 ER. W-S losing 9-4 bottom 8 Whisler...shelled. Dizard, Moat good in relief. Valido w/ 2 RBI Kanny off.
August 11, 200520 yr The Birmingham game is still in progress, but they're up 7-5 in the top of the ninth. Young is 3-for-4 with a homer and a double. Honel went five, gave up 1 ER (3 R), 2 BBs, and 8 K's.

August 11, 200520 yr Barons 10 Mississippi 5 W- Honel (4-6) L- Kent Sv- Lubisich (1) Kris Honel had a solid outing and kept the Barons in the game. Chris Young with the Barons down 3-2 drilled a 2-0 fastball way out to left center to make it 5-3 Barons. Jerry Owens with 2 more hits now has a 17 game streak 28 out 29. Owens also stole his 32nd base and Rogo added his 19th bag. Antoin Gray crushed a fastball from 2005 Braves 1st round pick Joey Devine for a long homerun. Every Baron had a hit in the 15 hit attack. Nik Lubisich came in with bases loaded 0 out got of the inning with only minimal damage and pitched a 1-2-3 9th for his 1st save.

Considering that he came from JC and showed success in a wooden bat league I'm surprised they are playing it so slowly with him. He could be a nice addition for Kanny's OF down the stretch if the Sox decide to promote him.
