Game Thread -- August 25, 12:10 PM

Featured Replies

It'll be my first game in attendance in 2005, so I figured it'd be a good time for my first-ever game thread.

I'll be the large human with the 1917 retro hat two rows behind the Sox dugout.

C'mon Jon! Get it done!

We need a series win...would be the first one in 2 weeks. Get it done Jon! :gosox1:

keep the trend of stellar starting pitching going Jon.

Anyone know if Stewart is back in the lineup?

...being able to watch the game in its entirety.........YES!

Can't find lineups yet, but found this in game notes.

OF Timo Perez is 10-for-16 (.625) with a homer and seven RBIs in his career against RHP Silva.

would you still start him at leadoff?

I'd start him...but he'd be down with Crede and Uribe.

Give me a dose of Brian Anderson today, please!!!!

Boy-o-boy, the Sox are in a nice position to pick up another W.

...looking forward to watching a good one. Let's see if Jon can keep up the quality starts.

atop the lineup again for Timo :huh.....then uribe.

I don't see Carl batting with anyone on base.....let's hope that Uribe and Timo can get some hits....i mean they do have a batting average...meaning they do get hits during some series of games.

I love Uribe batting 2nd but never, ever like to see Iguichi out of the lineup. Especially on turf -- he played his whole career on astroturf.

I'm always stupified why he insists on resting Iguchi so much. Just let the man play dammit!!!!!!

Yeah, plus he is our best hitter. Its kind of like the decision to PH our worst hitter (timo) for iguchi in a very crucial spot in the game *cough Ozzie cough*

When did Iguchi become our best hitter?

He is batting a WHOPPING 6 points higher than Konerko. What about his clutch stats, you know the thing that Konerko gets bashed so much for? Iguchi's batting ROBUST .237 w/RISP. He strikes out at a higher rate than any of our other hitters. Walks less than Konerko, and hits for less power than Konerko. Tell me again, How is this guy 'our best hitter?'
