We've gone over this time and again.  Who gives a flying f*** what the overall bullpen ERA is.  When they actually go to their main guys in a close game, they have solid relievers.  You're the same person that tried to tell me the Yanks bullpen was bad, cause of their overall ERA.

LOL

If we score 9 runs in a game in a playoff series, I'll probably be in a good mood.

Well the difference is our hitters wont be facing the worst pitching the league in the playoffs.

Our pitchers have to pitch their best games in the playoffs for our team to have a chance. If they take the series off and do the kind of s*** we have seen lately, its one and done in the playoffs.

A fly ball out and a base hit...?

How is that bad?

viz vs. sweeney

i don't like our odds.

So Ozzie has a quick trigger with Cotts, but basically leaves Garcia in to completely tank? That's horses*** managing!

Crappy pitching with crappier offense is not a good mix at all, they SUCK right now.

Ozzie with the quick trigger.

I just don't understand...

I wasn't watching the pitches, but it sure didn't sound like Neal had "it" tonight...long fly ball for a sac fly, and then a base hit...about to face Sweeney...hell it can't hurt to play the percentages against this monster.

LOL

What, no response? Do you see something you disagree with?

sweeney is 4 for 7 in his career against Viz

none have left the building -- yet

If Cotts is going to be your #1 lefty out of the bullpen, might it not be a good idea to leave him in for more than 1 batter every now and then. Considering Sweeney is hitting over .500 lifetime against Viz, this move is questionable at best.

May I add in crappy managing as well?

Percentages?

Sweeney's 4 of 7 vs Viz.

Unbelievable.  Simply unbelievable.

coming and facing 2 batters, both lefties, and getting only 1 out is not good in my book. Sorry.

I will say Viz has settled in nicely...

Sweeney pops it up!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY VIZ!!!

Doing a happy dance...

:headbang :headbang :headbang

Good job Viz! I hope Neal gets his bowl of water when he's bunking with Marte in Ozzie's doghouse.

Hey! With managers, nothing beats a good hunch.

Garcia didnt have "it" either but he started the inning.

Yet you had no problem with Garcia starting that inning?

4 of 8 now.

:cheers

That's still .500 though.

:)

And that 1 out leading to a run, and nearly leaving the park...yeah I agree.

No, horrible managing.

Every pitcher in the major leagues gives up a hit every now and then. You are the guy who thinks ERA is the end all. What about his ERA tonight? 0.00.

SHHHHH. You might hurt Ozzie's feelings. He might not show you his AL manager of the year award in only his second year of managing with a "terrible, terrible offense" if you don't stop yelling at him.
