McCarthy gives us the flexibility to do this and should be taken advantage.

Jose Contreras f***ing owns the Indians. He better pitch against them next eek.

This is a great idea, however would be thinking outside of the box for Ozzie.

Word son. I agree. I'd like to see McCarthy and Contreras against the Tribe. Buehrle won't do s*** against them and Garland has nothing more than a decent chance. If Freddy pitches good, we won't hit. If Freddy pitches bad, we won't get a single hit.

Buerhle is lights out against the Indians. I recall a 27 hitter 9 inning performance last year at a shut out opening day. He and Contrearas can beat the Indians.

 

I was thinking the same thng of the flip flop of Mac and Contrearas. I think the Twins may do well against Jose.

I'm personally not that worried about the pitching matchups in the Cleveland series. Whether it's Contreras or Garcia, the matchups are favorable. It appears that it will be Garcia, Buehrle, and Garland versus Millwood, Westbrook, and Elarton. Yes, I would feel better if it were Contreras against Millwood, but we need to beat the Twins too. Frankly if we were going to do anything with the rotation, I'd like to see us drop Hernandez and use McCarthy against Santana, who might be a bit off due to his blister problems.

I personally agree, and think this would be a great idea. If Jose and Mark pitched 2 out of those 3 games I think we'd have a good chance at winning both of those games, even with the slump Mark's been in lately.

Unless Garcia doens't pitch Monday, I don't think there's anything Ozzie does. He likes his 5 man rotation staying in order for their routine.

Ozzie couldn't find room in the rotation for a guy who just pitched 14+ shutout innings against good hitting teams. That should tell you something.
