September 20, 200520 yr All of us who will be in attendance tonight should get together and have some sort of voodoo ceremony for our boys to get them back on the winning track. Or maybe just pound a few beers.
September 20, 200520 yr Author I'm looking to order some tickets online and show up tonight. Right now its looking like I'll be in section 160.
September 20, 200520 yr I would like to see photo evidence of Poppy Hidalgo cheering for the Sox in person.
September 20, 200520 yr Author Lots of good seats still available online. Hopefully the walk up will be good or else we're going to have to read more articles about the attendance tomorrow.
September 20, 200520 yr The Sox play much better in front of a smaller audience. We really would be doing them a favor if we stayed away.
September 20, 200520 yr Author Right now I think they need a big crowd cheering them on. The crowd was rockin yesterday when they came back to tie it up at 4 and after Everetts HR the floors must have been shaking. They need a big attendance style hug to get them back on track. Oh and we should all go to see the offense snap out of its funk to put up an 8 spot and to see MB's CG SO.

I was thinking it was very loud with a lot of electricity, and then Hawk says something like that?? Sox fans have been bashed year in and year out, and now our very own Hawk is b****ing about a quiet crowd, when it was obviously not?? That pissed me off. Then 3 times he got way ahead of himself, and called it wrong: Twice he says "Waaay back.. Stretch..Stretch..".. and the ball is caught 20 feet in front of the warning track. and then before Podsednik caught the ball which was almost a homerun, Hawk says "that's gone". I usually like Hawk and DJ, but last night was so freakin frustrating listening to Hawk. And to top it off, before the game was even finished, while the ball was in the air, Hawk says "Mark Buehrle vs Westbrook"... Edited September 20, 200520 yr by SouthSidePride05
September 20, 200520 yr I went yesterday and the place WAS rocking. That being said, the players suck for b****ing about attendance when we were there all year and they have pissed this thing away. It is in our hands. Cleveland can't gain ground if we win. They need us to lose. Go out and do your job.

For tonight's game, the lower level isn't even close to full, and the upper deck is virtually empty. I guess I'll need to turn off the tv after the game and stay away from the papers tonight and tomorrow, win or lose. All we need is a win.. Buehrle needs to step it up, shut em down, and get to the postseason!
September 20, 200520 yr hey y'all first post.... though I'll admit that Ive been lingering around quite a bit around here over the past few months. Great board, by the way......and on that note, I agree with this post 100% Ive been a split-season ticket holder for the past 4 years and this season has been nothing short of a dream, it is now up to us, the diehards that really care about this team to ensure that this dream does not turn into a nightmere. Despite our poor record with big crowds at home, our boys very much need us right now. Lets go back to the sold-out crowd on Memorial Day when we had no chance in scratching against the Angels... yet Timo found a way to hang. It took a total collapse and a surging Cleveland team for our Sox to get any press, and now that they have it, we hear nothing but negatives.....one confidence swing for our guys right now could mean everything to winning this division, that could have came last night.....but it didnt. I believed in this team when they were 0-0 and I certainly believe in them now. People need to show up in droves tonight to support this team with bells on. We are in the pilot's seat..... the rest of the season begins tonight.

When you go down 4 runs quickly it will quiet the place down. Only a f***ing moron would be real loud after going down 4-0 real quick. When they rallied that place was rocking. When Carl hit the big homer, the place was nuts.

At last night game, I was in sec. 538 it was as if a bunch of Cubs fans were sitting next to me. Everytime a Sox hitter hit one to the warning track or even foul! People would stand up and cheer as if it were gone. Watch the outfielders!! BTW, whoever is going tonight, please bring a Travis Hafner Voodoo doll with you. Thanks.

September 20, 200520 yr i'll be up in the upper tank section 533. time to start a new winning streak.
September 20, 200520 yr I'm gonna go work out and maybe catch some of the last few innings at home. I have to avoid more of these games, or I'll be a full blown alcoholic by Oct.
September 21, 200520 yr Author The group I was gonna go with fell through so I'm watching this one at home. I have tickets to Saturdays game aginst Minnesota though.
September 22, 200520 yr sorry for topping a thread a few days old, forgive me, I'm a newbie....then again, I am a believer in good karma and this thread was certainly a welcome on Tueday night. First off, thanks for the welcoming.....times like these, us dying breed of Sox fans gotta stick together in the hopes of Rally Crede providing light at the end of the tunnel. Now, onto why I posted in this thread... a few things Ive noticed about attending the past 2 games. Tuesday night's crowd was electric from the first pitch to Joe's bomb.... the energy was there like a playoff game and even though the Cell was 12,000+ short from selling-out the place was rocking all night long.... down 4, tied, or Rowand error....didnt matter, the FAITH from the diehards was alive and kicking all night long. Last night was a complete 180 in terms of the fan support. Now I know people on this board are not the problem, but its really frustrating to have nearly a full park without any enthusiasm whatsoever. The Cell last night was like a Monday Night Half-Priced night in the middle of July....we get down 1 run and there was people who didnt care that the game actually mattered, there was people there who couldnt give a rat's ass what a magic number is. Hell, I think the biggest cheer was for the Chevrolet Pride Ho's. Granted, not all of us can be a diehard fan and support the team as much as others... and that's fine, but when you go this weekend against the Twinkies, and you SHOULD,..... ROOT YOUR AZZ OFF LIKE NEVER BEFORE. Down 4, 5, 6 I dont care... this team felt the on Tuesday and all be damned if there is another library crowd like last night over this crucial weekend.
