Yet the major media all but ignored this. Now they're acting like this is a surprise. Has ESPN even put the White Sox on their MLB front page yet?

How long has STL held the best record in MLB? Why hasn't the media been beating on them?

Edit...you know, I wish I could find the BBTN clip from before the season where they were giving their picks. The first guy, I think it was Gammons, picked the Twins, for all the supposedly obvious reasons...then Kruk came up, and started pretending he'd picked the Tigers and giving all the reasons for htem - Bonderman, Ordonez...with the screen below him saying he'd picked the Twins, then he interrupted himself and basically said "Of course I'm picking the Twins" and offered up no more details.

Oh jeez, haha. Just be happy you're already celebrating while I'll be unable to sleep, have no finger nails, etc. en route to an AL East Division crown.

 

Again, even with how this team played the stretch, they are a special group of guys, and a team that you all should be proud of.
