Sacrifice bunts are considered executing the fundamentals. Pods pushed two poor bunt attempts to the left side with Figgins playing in. That is poor execution.

 

Konerko popping up with two out hurts but it's not what I consider "lack of execution."

he wasnt trying to sac bunt. maybe that was a bad choice - and yes he didnt execute - but there were a bunch of times this game where we didnt execute correctly, not just think one instance

IMO, this would be a terrible loss period. We had a definite edge for this game, and haven't taken advantage of it
