National Anthem and Starting Introduction

Just for tonight, those at USCF should adopt the Blackhawk Anthem introduction.

That would really f*** up Fox's hopeful cuddily east coast viewing audience.

Welcome to the Southside.  Let it chew you up and spit you out.

I love the spine tingling feeling that you get at a fullhouse Hawks game during the national anthem. I only wish I could experience that with 40,000 Sox fans.

No Carl Lewis either.  :D

Let's see if we can everyone into their seats before the intors.

My sources confirm that David Yow will sing the anthem tonight.

I'll be there belting it out. :usa

Nice little obscure reference there, LMB.

I can appreciate it, I've seen his band several times back in "the day".

Or even 5,000 Hawks fans. :P

Glad it wasn't toally lost TC. Someone said they saw him at a show in LA recently. Apparently, he's still a trainwreck, he's been in my head ever since.

I was lucky enough to be working the final Blackhawks regular season and playoff games at Chicago Stadium. It was soooo loud, the noise didn't even sound like cheering anymore...it was just static.

And yes, I started crying. Both times.

And just did again...thanks ChiSoxFan. (bastard :P )

How about the first pitch?  Any word on that, anyone?

I am personnally very surprised that Hizzoner hasn't thrown one out yet.  Maybe for the WS, if we get there.

Several have stated Billy Pierce.

Your source got bad info....

Alice Peacock is singing it.

From a White Sox Press Release (10/11/2005 2:50 PM ET):

"CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox will host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim tonight in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series. Before the game's 7:00 p.m. start, recording artist Alice Peacock will perform the national anthem. White Sox legend Bill Pierce, who played with the Sox in the 1959 World Series, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch."
