October 12, 200520 yr I still think he should've came home instead of trying to get a double play they had no shot at in the 3rd inning. But besides that. he was outstanding. He gave the team every oppurtunity to get back in the game. That split was making some damn good hitters look like little leaguers.

Back to the pitcher is a double play. If you look, Iguchi doesn't protect himself by using the bag. As a result, he gets his leg taken out, and that was the reason for the errant throw. If he has proper mechanics on turning the DP, he's out at first. We make one of 2 plays that inning, the other being crede's 'hold', we are still playing.

His play was ten times easier than crede's play when he could have gone home. If people really want to say the game should have been tied because crede should have gone home they are delusional. In all reality contreras f***ed himself over on that play.

At best, it would've been very, very close, even if Tad gets a perfect throw off.

I think he's out at first, but who knows i guess.

You have to go home with it especially considering the two runners that you are trying to double up have above average speed.

There would have been two outs and if Contreras retires Guerrero the inning is over and the Angels would have had just one run. Edited October 12, 200520 yr by whitesoxfan99

October 12, 200520 yr QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) props to the Count how was Iguchi's throw not counted an error? Because you can't assume a DP

October 12, 200520 yr JC continues to roll we will need him again this series and I like Sox chances.
October 12, 200520 yr He was phenomenal again. Good job; lets kick ass tomorrow. We need to show some balls cause the Angels will be loose again in Game Two since they have first service break.
