Hell, I'm buying into the Wiscy possibly being the best team in the big 10 and they get zero love in the polls.

 

It's because other than NC State and Pitt, they played NOBODY in the non-conference. They're continuing that brutal non-conference schedule with a game with North Dakota State on Saturday.

Duke's going to come away with this one, NC State can't buy a bucket at the close of this game.  Final score 81-68.

 

Florida won 113-62. 

 

Rutgers is up 38-37 at the half on Pitt.

 

Memphis down at home to Tenn. 45-41 at the half.

Memphis is getting wide open shots with easy but they are playing total street ball on offense (basically showboating) while just doing nothing on defense.

 

They are an insanely athletic team and damn can they run. Tenn has forced some turnovers and shot unreal. No way will they keep it up cause Calliparri will get on his guys to come out and focus.

 

It doesn't help when Callipari calls Tenn a joke of a team (well he basically said that). He hates how they have to play Tenn every year cause Tenn is so bad. They better just take care of business otherwise they make Callipari look like a fool.

That said Iowa has to take care of business at home tonight against Minn and they've blown a decent size half time lead.

Greatest sunday ever. I lived above two U of I alumni, I jsut blasted hang on sloopy all day.

Iowa and Minny going to OT after an ugly last 50 seconds of that game.

Iowa game going to double OT. Brunner missed what would have been the game winning free throw. Man, Iowa needs this game. A loss here would be a big blow and would further prove that Alford is a worthless coach.

 

I guess I should stop b****ing cause I already know his teams play down to the competition and because of that they never end up having strong seasons.

 

It sucks too, cause Iowa has as a team that with a good coach would be competing for the big 10 title. Instead they will finish middle of the pack and hope like hell they finish strong in the big 10 tourney and find a way into an 8 or 9 seed.

Huge win for Ohio State and the rest of the Big Ten's chances at winning the conference. OSU wins at home 77-67.

 

Pitt ends up victorious and remains undefeated by beating Rutgers 76-68 on the road.

 

Memphis comes back in the second half and beats Tennessee 88-79.

Iowa missed a free throw to potentially win it at the end of the 1st OT. Minn missed two free throws to potentially win it at the end of double OT.

 

Iowa just missed another free throw but they are up 4 with 10 seconds left and the ball. If they blow this...I'll be pissed. Just get this win cause I got a feeling we'll come out playing good basketball saturday @ MSUU. I don't know if we'll be able to do enough to win, but I like our chances cause we play a similar style to MSU (The key will be Hasnen staying out of foul trouble; the guy is one of the best defensive bigs in the conference and had a huge game tonight for the Hawks).

 

As I type this Horner misses another free throw (2nd straight miss) and than misses a 3rd. f*** Horner, you were a real good shooter prior to this season (I got no clue whats happening to him).

Considering pitt was the lower seed when they lost their first round game last year I woudn't consider them very highly rated. In 03 and 04 they made it to the sweet 16, so good try. That being said I fail to see what the past has to do with this years pitt team. Krauser and Gray are about as good as an inside-outside combo as there is in the nation and I believe they've recieved very little attention this year.

They aren't doing bracket predictions. Lunardi simply is posting the brackets as he sees them each week as if the tournament were to start at that time. His Bracketology has nothing to do with predicting what teams will do the rest of the season, only what they have done to that point.

 

All due respect, Duke, I am a big IU fan and am happy to have a few of us on here, but you have been a bit of a pain in the ass the past few days. You doing it on purpose? If so, it's not becoming.......

Big win for the buckeyes today, they have easy sailing on out till the big show down with Illinois in March. No reason they should not win every game up to that one.

They shot a decent percentage from the line, they just missed them at the most inopportune times.

 

3-pointers are another question. 1-for-20 ain't gonna cut it. And what is Brunner doing taking as many 3's as Haluska?

Brunner finished with 23 boards, I believe.
