Kolb is a Boras client and the reason the Brewers couldn't strike a deal with him is because he wanted too much money. He will not be coming to the White Sox.

I never thought Grant Balfour was that bad of a pitcher. He was in the Twins organization and had some decent periph's as a reliever. I have no idea if he had injury problems or anything like that.

He's had big time injury issues. He does have electric stuff when healthy.

That would be scary.  Check out his control.

He sucks on and off the field. No thanks!

Bradford, T. Miller and Fogg intrigue me.

byrnes as a backup outfielder would be nice, but probably too pricey

I've got a feeling Borchard is going to be one of the backup outfielders because KW likes him, we've still got 5 million invested in him and he has some pop.

The guys that I hope KW is looking at are Chad Bradford, Trever Miller, and Grant Balfour. The average reliever is just fluky from year to year so hopefully we could nab a couple of these guys on the cheap and they have nice seasons for us.

And most importantly, both are from Stanford.

Oh. Never mind then.

We should sign Ken Harvey for comic relief. That guy is always in the middle of hilarious plays.

Looks like Kenny's trades haven't been too bad huh?

Alright, that makes some sense. I was kind of puzzled when I saw his name there. I know the Twins were really high on him and two years ago he was really talked highly by the minor league people in the Sox organization.

I assume he isn't expected to be healthy at the start of the season? If he is, I'd definately offer him a minor league deal or something along those lines and give him a shot to make the back end of our pen.

I remember him being a highly touted reliever. But I also remember Twins fans calling him Grant Ball-four.

Joe Borowski was dealt from the Sox to the Orioles for Pete Rose JR in '91, I highly doubt KW had any input into that deal.

BTW, the Koch - Foulke trade, looks pretty damn good to me right about now.

Seriously, people forget we got Cotts in that deal. I also remember a lot of people crying because we gave up Joe Valentine (who was just non-tendered by the Reds).

Miller had another surgery.  He's such a health risk that teams can't count on him to be in their rotation.

Didn't read all of the pages but the problem was he didn't have surgery and elected to rehab instead. I stated before last season when many posters wanted him for the rotation that it wouldn't work. It didn't. He has gotten smart and had surgery this time. He should miss a good portion of the season.

Alex Escobar non tendered. So, basically, we got Jerry Owens for nothing?

Also, would not mind Trevor Miller or Endy Chavez.

Everyone else is the scrap heap.

We should pick up Escobar just to trade him again.

The Nats actually re-signed him to a minor league deal.

He is effective when healthy however. I would think someone like Cleveland would take a chance on him.
