Hannah called 3 different coaches and commited within a 24 hour period, nobody knew where he was really going until he stepped on SC's campus, and that didn't last long either.

hahah, you guys were not joking

TE Jonathan Hannah's coach earlier today, around 4:15 P.M. told Warchant.com's Lee Gordon that Jonathan had chosen Florida State. He gave Lee these comments on the decision.

"Jon is a very mature 20 year old guy. He didn't make the decision until this morning. He weighed a lot of factors."

"He visited last weekend and his words to me was that he had a great time."

"I'm not surprised at all (about FSU). Amato was here on 2 different occasions. Jonathan developed a relationship prior to the process."

Well, it has since changed. Jonathan just contacted me at 5:05 P.M. and had this to say.

"Family and I think it is best not to sign today since no concrete decision has been made. My decision won't drag on for a long period of time because I don't want to go through all of this. I will have a decision by this weekend at the maximum."

Well no surprises for Michigan today. Eveything was pretty much determined ahead of time. They had a nice, solid class, but not a spectacular one. They will really have to ramp up the offensive line for the 2008 class.

did anyone see PTI? they said some people were speculating that Zook must be doing some under the table stuff to get recruits and it seemed to come out of nowhere

Did they mention the piece from the NY Times? That article implied the same thing.

Don't let it bother you. What should bother you is how they are implying Illinois is cheating while USC getting caught twice (Jarrett, Bush) just gets swept under the rug.

The samething is in the Chi Trib today... I guess that is karma paying back for all of the accusations made during the Gordon fiasco.

or Zook just cheats..but who doesnt these days. Fact is, he did a helluva job and the media does not like the new kid on the block getting some much deseved cred.

Hell, even if he did cheat, he out cheated USC and anyone who beats USC, is ok in my book.

on PTI atleast they said the accusations are worthless without any evidence to back it up.

Cause they are worthless....the media sucks and kudos to Zook.

i'm pretty satisfied with the karmic implications of this whole thing. considering just about every major newspaper and media outlet has said this story is a pile of crap, i think that's a good thing for illinois. it's just more chances for positive publicity and gives people more chance to talk about zook and the program positively.

This makes zero sense.

I believe he was referring to how people from Illinois accused Indiana of foul play.

I know nobody else cares, but UNC is having a ridiculous day. 3 star Devon Ramsey, 4 star Greg Little, 4 star Kevin Bryant, 5 star Marvin Austin, 5 star Dwight Jones, and now 4 star Weslye Saunders all in one day. I don't even know what to say right now, I don't even know what to say, but this makes tonights basketball game almost irrelevant.
Awesome day a great start for Coach Davis! :D :D

Nobody accused Indiana of cheating.

Wisconsin gets a good kicker in Phil Welch out of Colorado. Most likely he was given the scholly that was being saved for a guy like Peake or Harris who chose not to sign.

Chizik did decent for starting in late November.

Top recruit is **** JUCO RB Jamicah J. J. Bass

Southern Illinois landed a 3 star Guard, Torres Roundtree, he's part of the 2008 recruiting class.

Roundtree

Ummm, yes they did.

One thing I noticed when looking at both Rivals and Scout's sites is that scout.com is much more liberal with their player ratings. Scout.com had Michigan with 12 4-star players. Rivals had them with 5. That's a big difference.

The number of 4 star players on both sites are about the same, but Rivals gives out about half as many 5 star ratings. But both sites can REALLY differ on players, one can be a 2 star on Scout and a 4 star on Rivals, etc.

I'm an ND fan, but wow is Weis ever talking out of both sides of his mouth/wants to have his cake and eat it too when it comes to recruiting. He's gonna get torched for this, and rightly so.

Yup, it is really unbelievable. He is making a total ass of himself.

Why. what's he saying? I haven't really followed it.

He called out a couple of kids who decommitted from Notre Dame. Yet at the same time he had no problem recruiting kids who were committed to other schools.
