February 3, 200620 yr Ok now I admit I haven't been a member here and regular poster all that long, so if this has been covered, forgive me. But last night, me and a friend just somehow got on the subject of old Nickelodeon shows (we are both 19 btw) and here was the list we came up with as a top 5: 1. Doug 2. Double Dare 3. Ren and Stimpy 4. Legends of the Hidden Temple 5a. Rocko's Modern Life 5b. Wild and Crazy Kids So....what was your favorite(s)?
February 3, 200620 yr How about waaaaaaaaay old school... The Great Space Coaster. And I was definately down for some Double Dare.
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) How about waaaaaaaaay old school... The Great Space Coaster. And I was definately down for some Double Dare. The Great Space Coaster wasn't Nick, was it? I remember watching that before we had cable.
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:31 PM) Those are Old School? You Can't Do That on Television! Yeesss! And DD.
February 3, 200620 yr Ren and Stimpy. It was like the warner Bros. cartoons on acid when it came out.
February 3, 200620 yr I didn't have cable until '91, and by then I was 21, so there was no way in hell I was watching Nick. Was Saved By The Bell on Nick? Bunch of my friends loved that show and always watched it. I no longer speak to those people, BTW.
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) The Great Space Coaster wasn't Nick, was it? I remember watching that before we had cable. Damn, I thought it was Nick, but I can't find anything that said what network it was on. Hell its been like 25 years now
February 3, 200620 yr Haha everyone's listing DD. What Would You Do? Doug All That (when Kenan and Kel were there) Pete and Pete Clarissa Hey Arnold Video Arcade Alex Mack Mr. Wizard
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Damn, I thought it was Nick, but I can't find anything that said what network it was on. Hell its been like 20 years now It was on PBS. Awesome show... No G-news is good G-news with Gary Gnu. Speed Reader. Bloodhound Gang. Sweet.
February 3, 200620 yr Ren and Stimpy and Salute your Shorts are probably the 2 greatest shows of all time...atleast of those that were on Nickelodeon. Pete and Pete was solid as hell too, but nothing can top Ren and Stimpy and Salute your Shorts. I still find myself singing "Happy Happy, Joy Joy" from R&S and the intro song to Salute your Shorts from time to time.
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:31 PM) Those are Old School? You Can't Do That on Television! Also from that same era "Don't Just Sit There" With Double Dare it has to be the original with Marc Summers. The new DD2000 wasn't quite the same.
February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) wow, Mr Wizard was tha s***. Yes, he was!

February 3, 200620 yr QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) Yes, he was! Do you guys realize he's pushing 90 years old and, as far as I can tell, is still alive?!? I never realized how old he was or how long he'd been on TV until I saw a clip of his show from the 50's or 60's.
February 3, 200620 yr You Can't do that on Television!...of course. The Tomorrow People...British Sci-Fi import The Third Eye...anthology series about the supernatural Here's a site dedicated to Classic Nick shows: http://www.johnnorrisbrown.com/classic-nick/shows.htm
