Sweeney was great to watch 2 years ago? when he was with the sox for spring training. He is definitely a good looking player and KW knows better not to trade him.

I don't care if it's spring. It's good to finally get a win. Looks like the pitching was very good.

So Lopez, Tucker, Bentz and Baj all had solid outings today.

Nice to see Baj bounce back. It seems like they want to give him a shot. He's still on the wrong side of the line in my opinion.

I want to see Javier Lopez and Arnie Munoz duke it out for the second lefty spot. And I want to see Rusty Tucker pitching at Charlotte to start the season. I think if he gets his velocity back and works on his location, he could be Jenks Part 2 from the left side.

That's what it's looking like so far. Lopez has clearly seperated himself from the pack. Surprised that Munoz didn't get some run today. I guess he'll go tomorrow. I agree with you on Tucker.

Why is Baj only good in the 9th?

jabroni, I agree about Rusty starting in AAA. He has a live arm, and has the talent to succeed out of the pen. He still needs some experience throwing after the surgery.

Good question. He was a closer for Charlotte, right? Maybe when he's not in pressure situations, he thinks he can get away with just throwing that 91 MPH straight fastball?

On WGN his slutter looked hit and miss. It either looked nasty or he'd get in a hole with it.
