Preseason Baseball-White Sox v. Angels Game Thread

Featured Replies

Dustin Hermanson vs. the Angels' Ervin Santana at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., 2:05 p.m., Comcast Sports Net, 670-AM.

Right-handed reliever Dustin Hermanson was scheduled to pitch out of the bullpen today against the Los Angeles Angels but now will start the game.

The Sox want to stretch out Hermanson and get him ready for the season, so he tentatively will go two innings. Prospect Ray Liotta, who was scheduled to start, will come out of the bullpen.

I know the first four guys are Mack, Uribe, Konerko and Gload.

Wow, Hermanson that was UGLY. Straight fastball right down the pipe to Chone Figgins. 1-0 Angels.

Hermanson gives up a 400ft bomb to Chone Figgins.

It's early.

2 outs and 2 aboard for the Angels.

Gload at 1st or DH? Ozuna playing somewhere and Gustavo Molina catching.

I know this won't surprise people, but I'm very concerned about Hermanson this season. I think he'll either end up on the DL for a significant period, or his ERA will be over 4.50.

Lance Broadway in the game. I thought Hermy was supposed to go two innings today?

Broadway promptly walks the first hitter.

Gload is at first. Ozuna is at third. I'm pretty sure Molina is catching.

Pitch count wise he did for the most part.

Hermy said yesterday I think that he is still getting adjusted and his fastball takes awhile to get back. He got pounded last spring as well I think.

Plus he's still adjusting to the weight he lost in the off-season. I think Hermy will be alright.
