March 7, 200620 yr Maggs took tavarez close to the track. I have to admit, maggs has looked pretty good today.
March 7, 200620 yr He follows it up with a bunt single in front of Albert and Big Papi. Nice play, that could set things up.
March 7, 200620 yr I still think that both of these teams will advance to round 2. I see no way in hell that Italy or Austrilla will beat either of these teams
March 7, 200620 yr Beltre may have a better year this year. He looked very good today. Get him in your fantasy leagues in the later rounds if he is still around.

Get him in your fantasy leagues in the later rounds if he is still around. I wouldn't base too much on this small sample size of games, especially since it's pretty early and not everyone is ready yet. He's definitely a nice pick for a low risk backup 3B.

March 7, 200620 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) You could hear the VEN fans chanting "Puto! Puto! Puto!" after that non-HR call. Clllaaaasssseeeee. :rolly

Once you get past the #6 3B it's a bit debatable. He was a monster 2 years ago, but I can't base too much on that. I'd say he's #11 at best, which makes him one of the bottom couple of starters. I wouldn't feel too comfortable if he were my starter based on what he did last year.

Ive gotten arod in all my drafts pretty much so i dont need to worry about third but i would take beltre if available
March 7, 200620 yr This game is good so far, I expected a low scoring game Mexico has a nice group of pitchers same with usa.
