March 22, 200619 yr 173-0. The Indians provide a September scare, not losing ground for the entire month, thus launching Soxtalk into panic mode (yes, the choke avatars will be seen again), but giving the Sox the momentum they need to go 11-0 in the postseason. Okay, back to reality. I think the Sox will win 90-100 games and the Central division. The 5 starters will all win at least 14 games. The bullpen will be shakier than last year, but will still shut teams down when it counts. The addition of Thome will provide a spark to the Sox offense, moving it from bottom of the league in production to the middle or maybe even near the top of the league in production. I might post some predicted statlines later.
September 19, 200619 yr Have fun reflecting on this thread. It's funny looking back on the high expectations we set. Not me, though. I knew Guillen would misuse McCarthy. Several people were surprisingly spot on. Among them -- tony82087, Southsider2k5, SNB. Edited September 19, 200619 yr by Flash Tizzle

September 19, 200619 yr Damn, someone caught me on an optimistic day, .275 for Uribe? 21 HR for Anderson? Hell I hated Anderson comming into this season.

September 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) - Widger - .358, 21 HR, 58 RBI, 162 AB Wow. You should have posted under a different name for this thread.
September 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(Damen @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) Wow. You should have posted under a different name for this thread. I was close, designating Chris Widger for assignment on July 23rd was the biggest mistake the White Sox Organization ever made. 25-28 record since his DFA, coincidence? f*** NO.

You may have a point. Has anyone followed up to see how his softball team ended up this summer? I bet they're in the playoffs.

September 19, 200619 yr It's always interesting to read these old threads, I feel silly for thinking Pods would do so well and Gooch would hit 25 HR.
September 19, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 11:05 AM) Mike's Chicken for lunch again? Close. Asian Kitchen (65)
