The KC left fielder never should have thrown that ball home. 3-2 pitch and the runners were going on the pitch. He should have thrown it into 2B and held Crede at 1B.

Trust me, I'm not complaining. I also wanted to show that I'm capable of criticizing other managers besides Ozzie. My philosophy was that with an open base, if Crede put that slider into play, it wasn't going to be hit hard. Dessens has always been a slider pitcher, and his fastball is his #2 pitch.

Exactly. Great AB by Crede but Dessens was stupid to stop throwing sliders off the plate. Crede was fishing for them.

True, that was pathetic.

hawk is the king of hyperbole, but that at bat by crede was the best at bat by a sox hitter all year. dessens really did throw a great sequence of pitches.
