May 19, 200619 yr Great game guys, take advantage of the pitching matchup tomorrow so that Count will be pitching for a sweep Sunday.
May 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) And, the Sox move to 19-3 when I start the game thread. Not trying to suggest anything, though. Do you think you can bear the weight of this great responsibility?
May 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) Do you think you can bear the weight of this great responsibility? All I know is I get dibs on playoff threads. Greasy has mandated it.
May 19, 200619 yr Outstanding Pitching, one run on 2 hits!! Always enjoyable to beat the flubs. Edited May 19, 200619 yr by whitesox1976
May 19, 200619 yr As bad as Brian Anderson has been at the plate, I'm sure as hell glad the Sox didn't fork over Ray Liotta and Sean Tracey (or something similar) for Juan Pierre...
May 19, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) "Who's Mark Buehrle?" He is the pitcher that outdueled you Mad Dog!!! When you say "out-dueled" it implies that the game was actually somewhat competitive. Maddux got pwn3d!!!!
May 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) When you say "out-dueled" it implies that the game was actually somewhat competitive. Maddux got pwn3d!!!! Good point. I'll take that PWNege from him.
May 19, 200619 yr The Cubs fans behind me actually had a conversation about the White Sox having a lot of adrenalin flowing today, and that they won't be up for the rest of the series, so the Cubs should take the next 2. Do they sell quaaludes and mushrooms at Wrigley?
May 19, 200619 yr This is exactly what i expected out of a game against a team of this calibur, complete and utter dominance. Way to show up boys.
May 19, 200619 yr ell (6:50:41 PM): some guy was like BOB HOWRY LOOK AT ME NOW and then he gave the finger when he did
May 20, 200619 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 19, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) As bad as Brian Anderson has been at the plate, I'm sure as hell glad the Sox didn't fork over Ray Liotta and Sean Tracey (or something similar) for Juan Pierre... Hey he did get the 1st hit of the game. Even though it only went about 10 feet The cub fans by me really got all excited when Pierre scored, but they were pretty quiet the rest of the game
May 20, 200619 yr Very enjoyable game to watch. After Pods took the first 2 pitches from Maddux in the 1st inning, I thought "Good. The ump's not going to expand the zone for him." Both of those pitches were close.
